What motherboard to buy?!?

i wanted to buy asus rampage formula but it looks quite old .but it has some nice specs in it.what do u think ? i want ddr 2 and 1600 fsb but the only setback is because of the x 48 chip (CROSSFIRE) i wanted to go with an sli board but i heard you could use 1 nvidia card with a crossfire enabled board.so i may as well put 1 geforce 9800gx2 in there.so do you think rampage formula has any cons and please specify them .thanks

First off, you do not need to buy an MSI board. Asus is an excellent brand as well. I have been running a K8V with a Core2Duo E6850 for quite a while now and am still satisfied with the board.

Do you really need an SLI setup?

I recently build an SLI system for a friend of mine with an MSI board: MSI P6N SLI-F V2 PCIE ATX S775 nForce650 However the FSB of this board is 1333MHz. (鈧?9)

If you do need a 1600MHz board you could consider the Asus P5E3. (鈧?59)
