Disk clean up?

when i run disk clean up it has this green bar to show you the status but the green bar does not even load a quater of the way and it doesnt do anything else. is this a hard drive problem? please help

You need to be patient if you rarely use the tool, since your computer has thousands of files.

how long have you let it run? it takes longer on slower computers. if you didnt wait a while, try letting it run, especially if you've never ran it. you probably have a truck load of stuff to cleanup ...i recommend this freeware to clean up other junk. u can find it here

Reply:hi, it shouldn't take that long at most 5 to 10 minutes. Try to do that from disk management.


right click on my computer/manage/disk management
Reply:probably cause your hard dish is full then what is the use of doing disk clean up%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;!!!

Reply:just be patient if you runin vista it will take about 30 to 45 min thats with alot of file and xp it took my mom 4 hrs to do her but if u would do it once a week and it will get faster on both vista or xp!!!
