well it depends laptop or desktop??? laptop there will be a door on the bottum and um=nder the door wiil be the hard drive there should be 2 door select the ratangle door!!! but desktop diff you to remove the side of the tower and the hard drive will be at the top od the tower!!

Any hard drive you buy will have directions as to installation procedures.It's much easier to follow those than to get directions here.
Reply:If you aren't going to put an operating system on it, its probably easier for you to purchase an external hard drive.
