well, problem is my c-media AC97 9739A sound card or chip =S will not play my 5.1 surround sound correctly, it only seems to give sound out my rear speakers subwoofer and a left front, I have the right options selected in the control panel but was just wondering if anyone knew as to why i'm having this problem?

If you don't have a center speaker, you don't have 5.1 you have 4.1.Set it up for 4.1 and that should cure your problem.This may be a silly question but did you try switching the speaker that does work and the speaker that doesn't work to see if the speaker itself was bad?
Reply:It could be that the wires connecting the speakers are faulty.
Reply:Did you connect all the cables correctly? Can be a faulty cable or faulty driver. Reinstall the drivers
