My computer is slow?

and probably infected with lots of viruses.


i;ve run the disk defragmenter and spybot with all the updates


and i even use mozilla firefox


how do i make it faster.

You need to run an antivirus scan. An antispyware scan won't be sufficient enough.





There are some very popular free scanners: avast!, AVG, AntiVir are just a few. I myself suggest avast!: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-...





Download a scanner %26amp; install it. Boot your computer into safe mode %26amp; run the scanner. It'll take a while since you're infected, but it'll get the job done.

well if you have virus' then u need to get rid of them. go to www.superantispyware.com download and run the scan.
Reply:uninstall all programs, toolbars that you dont use any more and delete stuff that you dont use. if its still slow you might have to reinstall windows and backup all your documents.

Then uninstall old programs you don't use anymore.





Run yet again the cache cleaner.





Store files on an external harddrive.





clean out the dust from inside the PC. ESP the fan that cools the CPU.





do antivirus %26amp; spyware scans and remove the worms %26amp; viruses.





Disable start up programs (programs that auto start when windows starts) most of the time you don't need 75% of the programs that automatically start up.





ummm there's much more stuff to make PC faster without spending money, but these are the ones I can think of at the top of my head.





I also use a program to clean the registry. I use BOTH programs mentioned in the first sentence. to clean cache %26amp; clean registry.





Quick fixes but require to spend a little:


- install more ram


- buy a new CPU

Get rid of the FREE stuff and install a good Internet Security Suite. $45, like 90 cents per week.


Antivirus will not protect against addware, malware, spyware, phishing etc etc

1.) Go for PC tool Antvirus[Its Free]


2.) Disk Defarg.


3.) Regs Defarg like UniBlue, PC doc pro etc.


4.) Clean your PC's Dust, mainly on the Processer.


5.) Use Spyware Cleaner like Spyware Doctor, ZoneAlarm Anti Spyware, etc.





Your Computer will be faster now.
